Nel corso di un periodo di 10 intense settimane di ricerca a Roma, Chris Sharp, curatore in residenza a Nomas Foundation ha tenuto oltre trentacinque studio visit con artisti di stanza a Roma, intraprendendo una conversazione con la scena artistica della cittĂ . La mostra dal titolo Smeared with the Gold of the Opulent Sun, ospiterĂ il risultato di questo momento di studio, osservazione e digressione in una mostra che restituirĂ una visione personale del curatore sulla scena artistica e culturale di Roma, attraverso il lavoro di otto artisti (Luisa Gardini, Richard Gasper, Giovanni Kronenberg, Jochen Lempert, Matteo Nasini, Nicola Pecoraro, Alessandro Piangiamore, Carlo Gabriele Tribbioli).
Chris Sharp è scrittore e curatore indipendente.

Collabora con Kaleidoscope magazine e le sue pubblicazioni possono essere trovate on line su Frieze, Afterall, Mousse, Metropolis M, and Art-Agenda, e molte altre. Ha scritto testi per cataloghi di diversi artisti tra i quali Simon Dybbroe Møller, Dane Mitchell, Roman Ondà k, Michael Dean, Christian Andersson, Ian Kiaer, Nina Canell, Lara Favaretto, Nina Beier and Owen Land e per istituzioni come il Moderna Museet di Malmö, Nouveau Musée National di Monaco, la Kunsthalle di Berna, e lo Sculpture Center a New York.
