Magazine for Contemporary Drawing

Nomas Foundation is pleased to present for the first time in Italy FUKT Magazine for Contemporary Drawing. The Berlin-based magazine was founded 1999 in Norway and focuses on drawing as an independent research and artistic practice. The magazine intends to uncover the potential forces of a medium such as drawing and its possibility to reach innumerable conceptual and expressive directions.
FUKT #8/9, the latest issue of the magazine will be launched in the presence of the editor Björn Hegardt. For the occasion the drawings of artists Laura Bruce, Abdelkader Benchamma, Bjørn Hegardt, Guillaume Pinard, Luigi Presicce, Marco Raparelli, Martin Skauen will be displayed. In addition, an animation screening program with the videos of Aline Helmcke, Eric Nyquist, Kristofer Ström, Eline McGeorge, Joanne Hummel-Newell, Björn Hegardt, Geoff Mcfetridge, Marco Raparelli, Blu, Fukt Animation issue #5 - 2006
The double issue FUKT #8/9, includes the work of 32 artists showing a selection of pieces which include narrative, visual, abstract, conceptual, surreal, poetic and comical aspects within drawing as a medium.

Reading Room represents both a real and an immaterial space dedicated to the discussion, research and exploration of topics related to the exhibition programme. It is an evolving archive and framework of the creative process leading to the exhibitions. Reading Room is an ever changing dispositif that fosters a polysemous, collective, multilayered reflection on aspects of contemporary culture

FUKT is an international magazine, inviting the most interesting and adventurous writers and artists to publish their images and views on contemporary drawing practice |www.fukt.de
Björn Hegardt is an artist working within the mediums of drawing, installation and publishing. His works have been displayed internationally in group and solo shows.
