Progettare un cielo is workshop conducted by the artist Alessandra Sarra, apart of Nomas's 'A Painting Cycle' series, constructs a point of view on painting today through a more visionary recipe of practices.
The workshop will run for ten weeks with one meeting a week. The events will take place at Nomas, the artist's studio, and there will also be guided tours at the major exhibition spaces and museums in the capital.
The results of this trip and workshop will be collected in a diary / blog available on the website's foundation.
BIO Alessandra Sara
Born and currently living and working in Rome. Beginning at the end of the eighties, Sarra was inspired by the research and reflections of some of the most important representatives of Arte Povera (Mario and Merz, Jannis Kounellis, etc...) The artist explores the study of raw and poor materials, seeking in its essential naturalistic forms and universal values the expressive power more 'convincing and consistent with their own personal research on the identification of marked rhythm and harmonies through which implements the union or separation of the different elements. Painting and in some cases the installation becomes the most common means of expression.
